A Rescue Dog Meets Her New Human Dad And Can’t Stop Hugging Him

While they were grieving, Maggie appeared in their lives and they knew they had to keep her.

Losing a dog is one of the most terrible experiences in life. Nothing can prepare you for this, just nothing.

You spend a lot of time worrying about whether he has what he needs or whether you are the perfect person for him. There is nothing that can cure the pain of heartbreak, but there are ways to alleviate it.

A new rescue dog who was happy to meet the McCraw family provided some solace.

The Macro family has just been devastated after losing their pet dog, Mishka, to cancer.

Maggie appeared in their lives when they were sad, and they knew they had to keep her.

Halfway There Rescue arranged for them to meet in South Carolina, and their connection was very helpful.

“It melted my heart,” McKercro admitted to The Dodo. We had lost our other dog a few months before meeting Maggie, so from my perspective, this was just a meet and greet. At the time, I didn’t think I was ready for a new dog.

Mary and her husband, Mark, fell in love with the new dog immediately. On their first meeting, she showed all her charisma, feeling like they were meant to be together.

Maggie was hugging her new human father the whole time as a big thank you for saving her.

Maggie had been abused by her previous owners, and her only goal was to reproduce, which shocked the McCraw family. She was left alone once she was done.

She spent some time in foster care with Andra Mac after her rescue, where she relearned to trust humans.

Mac described her as “one of the sweetest dogs we have ever fostered.” My husband and I stared at each other when Maggie met her new daddy because we knew it. It was like something out of a movie.

But the time had come for her to go to her forever home in South Carolina, and the McCraws were only too happy to have her.

Mac also noticed their connection. She added that they were meant to be together. The ray of sunlight seen in the video leads me to assume that their old dog, Mishka, was beaming at the meeting.

In times like these, we can thank these wonderful people for helping a dog in dire need and promising to take care of her. I wish them success in their new journeys.
