We all know how amazing it is that dogs give us so much love and are loyal to us for their whole lives. In fact, for most of them, their whole world revolves around their favorite humans, and that is exactly why we love them so much.
However, some dogs have other purposes as well and take them quite seriously. Livestock guardian dogs are the ones that care for livestock and protect them from predators. They are very devoted to that job, but that is mostly limited to their “work time.”
However, there are furry guardians who not only see livestock as their wards but also want to make friends with them. The cute scene recorded by a surveillance camera in front of a goat pen shows this best.
Cute Scene That Delighted Many
A one-year-old Great Pyrenees cross, Ronces, lives on a farm with her owner Jesse Hirsh, and is in charge of guarding livestock from predators.
Jesse knows that she is absolutely devoted to her job, but what is even more amazing is that she is a truly gentle soul who doesn’t only love affection, but also enjoys giving it to other animals.
However, even Jesse himself could not even guess how far this love of hers goes until he saw footage from a surveillance camera placed in front of his goat pen.
He was so delighted by the scene that he decided to post the video on TikTok via his account @jessehirsh.
This video shows Ronces checking on her goats, ensuring that everything is okay. Yet, she does not stop there but jumps over the door to be with her goat friends.
There, she sniffs at all the inhabitants, and once they are all accounted for, she lays down in the hay, happy because she is with them.
This video attracted so much attention that even Jesse himself could not believe it. There were many reactions and we decided to highlight some of the best comments.
“She wants to playyyy 😭,” one user wrote, while the other added: “SHE’S SUCH A GOOD GIRL.”
The third quipped: “The way she lowered herself just to show she’s friendly and just wants to be part of them 😭.”
Amazingly Devoted Guardian
Ronces was born on Jesse’s farm and adores all animals, including goats, ducks, pigs, and chickens.
Although those same animals sometimes did not reciprocate her in the same way, she did not care but kept giving the love.
However, what is most important is her ability to protect the livestock, as well as the entire farm, from predators.
She has proved to be very capable when it comes to this, and no foxes, bears, coyotes, and other predators appear on the farm any more.
This is ultimately confirmed by the American Kennel Club, which describes the Great Pyrenees as a dog with a “smart, patient, calm” temperament that was “bred to be an independent thinker, thus being able to guard livestock without human supervision or direction.”
We will add to the description of this breed that it is also full of love for other beings, and attach the above video as the best scientific proof!
