Kratos, an 8-year-old Kangal Shepherd, was found severely malnourished in a lonely landfill in Kurum, Turkey.
The neglected dog was not only emaciated and dehydrated, but also lost all his hair due to the numerous leaking lesions that covered his body.
On a cold day, volunteers from “Rescuers Without Borders” found out that Kratos fell into a muddy hole in a toxic landfill.
They were horrified to see the dog’s desperate expression, because he clearly assumed that he had a loving home before he ended up in an abandoned landfill.
Unfortunately, the tale of Kratos is not popular in Turkey. Over the past two months, animal activists have rescued more than 800 tusks that were abandoned in various landfills.
Unfortunately, many dogs died before they could receive help. Rescuers believe that owners usually abandon their dogs when they get older or sick, or when they are no longer needed “for work.”
To date, the organization has rehabilitated hundreds of “landfill”canines. Despite their terrible conditions, these canines are always friendly and ready to please people.
However, the campaign to help the juniors of the dump has stopped because the cost of each rescue of dogs ranges from 800 dollars to 2000 dollars
The workers reported that Kratos ‘ recovery was gradual due to his weakened immune system, but he should fully recover in about two months.
The fur has grown back, and after it has fully recovered, it will be ready for its permanent home. Get better soon, my dear!
