Ten years earlier, at the school prom, three boys from the class decided to “have some fun” with the quiet, straight-A student. She was always shy, kept to herself, and hardly spoke to anyone. People said she didn’t have a father and that her mother worked as a cleaner. The girl never bothered anyone, but people like her often become easy targets.
